Tempsford and Kilvergan Boy represent respected yards but the claims of RODRIGO GONZALES are preferred. Ellerslie George is also well worth a mention as he had Tempsford behind when winning at Stratford on debut for the yard despite running wide off the final turn. He resumes battle on a 6lb higher mark and should be competitive. Tempsford was beaten 10 lengths but is no forlorn hope with a course win to his name, albeit over a shorter trip, and it would be no surprise to see him go close. The Twiston-Davies team usually hits the ground running at this stage of the season but they're a little behind last year's tally numerically and don't quite give the impression that they're in full stride. That said, it would be folly to rule out Kilvergan Boy as he won his hurdling debut well enough and should be suited by the switch to chasing. Silver By Nature has plenty of experience and went close on last year's seasonal return and should stay this far whilst any rain would strengthen his claims. Rodrigo Gonzales has had a mixed time of things over fences with two decent efforts and three poor runs to his name. The pick of his runs read well in the context of this race with his Kempton defeat to Pressgang and his defeat of Font at this track looking sound form. He's only 2lbs higher and should see out this longer trip so makes some appeal providing that the real Rodrigo Gonzales stands up.
