In depth

Verdict

Another Promise has the scope to land today's feature race at the Welsh track, with Briery Fox, Bob Bob Bobbin and be My Better Half all out to stop him. Ferdy Murphy finally has his team in top shape, as a treble at Kelso at the weekend showed, and off what appears to be a decent mark here, Another Promise is taken to keep up the good work and complete a hat-trick. The seven-year-old has impressed with his jumping on each of his two chase victories to date, at Hexham and Kelso, humping big weights on each occasion, and although this is another step up in grade, he has just 10st 9lb and must surely go close under Graham Lee. Henry Daly would obviously like to win this race, given the Anne Duchess Of Westminster connection from his days with Tim Forster, and is double-handed with both Briery Fox and King Bee. Richard Johnson is on board the latter, but Briery Fox is fitter and is preferred of the duo. Bob Bob Bobbin has some tasty targets, including the Welsh National, and whatever he does today, Colin Tizzard's charge should be kept on the right side of. Be My Better Half should turn the tables on Simon at least on their running here in April, and is another to note as time goes on, but for now we shall happily side with Another Promise.
