      Verdict

Tony Carroll's Apache Chant is a consistent performer and should again be thereabouts but he remains a maiden under all codes after 23 starts and looks booked for a place at best in a race taken to go to POINTS OF VIEW, who gets the vote ahead of Himrayn. The son of Generous looks the pick of Anabel King's two runners ahead of Wisteria Lane, having run well when chasing home Clerk's Choice in a novices' hurdle at Huntingdon last month and he has claims on his handicap debut off a mark of 101. Seaquel had to be dropped into a seller before opening his account for Andy Haynes and has run well in the same grade in his only start since then but he may struggle back in a handicap. Marino Prince has shown little sign of ability over hurdles so far and of more interest may be French import Santo Thomas, who makes his handicap debut for Venetia Williams. The vote though goes the way of Kim Bailey's Points of View, who made an encouraging reappearance at Towcester last month and a similar effort today will make him tough to beat.
