Verdict

David Arbuthnot's team is ticking over nicely but it's difficult to drum up much enthusiasm for the chances of Spe Salvi after yet another disappointing effort at Wincanton. Bellaboosh should strip fitter for her run in a Taunton bumper last month, however, while Jason Maguire sticks with the hat-trick seeking Empress Orchid in preference to stablemate Inthesettlement. The top weight is a model of consistency but, on a line through Thornton Alice whom she beat at Newcastle in January, TANZANITE BAY looks to have a good chance in receipt of 14lb. Lucinda Russell's mare is back over the trip at which she won a Cheltenham bumper last April and she stepped up on her debut effort over hurdles at Ayr last month.
