Dawerann was just under 3l behind BAYAN in a Cork maiden in March and hasn't really progressed. The winner hasn't been in action subsequently over hurdles but scored on the Flat at Dundalk last month and is improving fast enough to take this. He was just in front of Call Me Bubbles at Leopardstown in December and though the latter improved subsequently to score at Navan he disappointed when favourite at the Punchestown Festival though in a better race than this and did finish in front of Habesh. Hurricane Ridge looks a big threat as he ran really well in that Leopardstown event before scoring on the Flat at Navan.
