    Verdict

The Linda Stubbs-trained Saxford has plenty in hand on official BHA ratings being dropped into a claimer for the first time but he finished last in each of his two outings last term and cannot really be backed with any confidence after those outings so he may be worth taking on with the in-form ABBONDANZA, who can give David Nicholls another winner with the main danger rated as Stellite. Jim Goldie's 10-year-old has not been at his best this season but the yard have their runners in good heart at present so there may well be more to come from him and he cannot be discounted. Niall Moran's Non Tiscordardime has struggled since winning a handicap at Gowran Park last month and a bigger threat is likely to come from Artsu, who represents the in-from stable of Michael Dods and is entitled to come on for his reappearance run at Thirsk last month. As well as Stellite, Jim Goldie is also responsible for Geojimali, although he has been below par of late and a safer option looks to be Abbondanza, who was good value for his win in this grade at Redcar earlier this month and he can follow up that win here.
