      Verdict

      Dark Crystal landed a slightly higher-class handicap here in July though that was on soft going. Eilean Mor needs further while Novalist made all over 7f at Musselburgh and has never won beyond that trip. RIOJA DAY has only won once in his career and that was on heavy going but he's run well in these conditions and with a first-time visor applied is taken to double his winning tally. Royal Duchess was placed on several occasions before getting off the mark over 7f here in October.
