Verdict

Alan Berry and Charlotte Kerton teamed up to win this last year with Andrasta and so a chance is taken here with MADAME JOURDAIN. The selection has now dropped a stone in the weights following some less than inspiring performances. However she ran well off marks in the 60's around this time last year and proven on soft ground she should give a better account of herself on just her third start for the yard. Miss Pusey Street has run well on a variety of ground and she has had some near misses of late; off the same mark of 50 she should run well once again. Scrapper Smith didn't get much luck in running last time out and remains of interest, Residency is open to more improvement on the softest ground he has faced, whilst Highly Acclaimed easily holds the selection on their run behind Future Gem at Carlisle last time but she's had a few chances without converting. Frisky Queen got going too late here last time out but may fare better on this slower surface as she seems to see the trip out well, however in a very weak race we will take a chance on Madame Jourdain.
