        Verdict

        It's difficult to be confident about any of these and BLUE CHARM rates no more than a speculative selection. He scored at Southwell last week and has won on turf before, which is more than can be said of On The Cusp, whose only win in 27 starts also came on the Fibresand. Monsieur Pontaven won on fast ground over 6f here last August and could figure, while Blue Noodles scored over a longer trip at Kempton last September. Walleyd may be capable of better on his handicap debut and makes most appeal of the remainder.
