In depth

Verdict

The recent winners all hail from the more powerful Northern yards with Tim Easterby chasing a hat-trick of wins with Kenny The Captain. The latter scored at Newcastle last time and should handle the ground. So should Kickboxer who has decent claims on his recent Haydock win while Foxy Clarets beat NO LEAF CLOVER a head at Newcastle last month. But Ollie Pears' charge has since won his maiden at Carlisle and can turn the tables with the former now handicapping for the first time. Makin The Rules and Scots Law are others with scope if handling the soft going and both Damaah and Mr Matthews could also go well from opposite ends of the weights.
