Verdict

FIRST SARGEANT (NAP) ended the last campaign scoring over 1m3f at Windsor and though 6lb higher on his reappearance at Doncaster was still in the lead at this trip before succumbing to Sheriff Of Nawton, who has won again and is now rated 20lb higher. Lawrence Mullaney's charge is handed the vote to go one better. Josh Doyle, who was on board the selection last time, rides the consistent Rioja Day this time and his mount has to be a threat after a fine run at Newcastle last week. It's almost two years since Act Your Shoe Size last won a race but she's now 21lb lower as a consequence while Eilean Mor will enjoy the conditions, though his best form is over further. Uncle Brit has won around here and found 7f too short on his reappearance so shouldn't be dismissed.
