Verdict

A tough race to call but there's lots of pace around and the race might be run to suit NANTON. Jim Goldie's gelding has been up and down in trip like a yoyo, however he is perhaps best over this sort of trip and he can gain a first win since September 2009. Suits Me is one of several confirmed front-runners, whilst Frankie Dettori chooses to ride Vesuve which given his form isn't as strong as his (returning from an absence) stablemate Kirklees further muddies the waters. Kings Gambit is consistent and hard to leave out of calculations, a comment that also applies to the front-runner Kings Destiny who would appreciate any rain. Circumvent, with his handy weight-for-age allowance, is another for close consideration.
