Verdict

Richard Fahey took this last year with Faithful Ruler, who bids for a repeat from 4lbs higher, while Paul Hanagan deserts him this time for Arabian Spirit, who has claims, though we will suggest WIGWAM WILLIE at longer odds. Kevin Ryan's charge has not won since June of last year, but he showed signs of a return to form last time in a claimer and now back in a handicap off a mark of 70 it could be the time to catch him, with any ease in the ground a plus. Arabian Spirit carries a penalty for a course and distance win and is another who won't mind rain and he too has won off higher marks if you look far enough back. Barren Brook is 3lbs higher than when scoring over 6f at Redcar and is interesting stepped back up in trip, while Sir Frank Wappat is in good shape and his allowance also gives him claims.
