      Verdict

Three of these ran at Hamilton on Saturday evening with Baltic Spirit performing best of the trio in finishing runner-up to Straits Of Malacca. However, that form doesn't rate strongly enough in what looks a more competitive contest. Classy Anne has been in fine form, rattling up a hat-trick before coming home fourth last time behind Bunce and it would be dangerous to ignore her claims of getting back on the winning track even though the assessor has inevitably had his say. Emily Davidson is respected but will find this much tougher than the selling and claiming grade in which she recently succeeded, especially off her new mark and CHOSEN ONE is preferred. The 9-y-o came right back to form last time for the in-from Ruth Carr team and can defy a 6lb penalty faced with his ideal conditions of 5f on fast ground.
