In depth

Verdict

A bumper rounds off the card and as usual the market will provide all the clues, but the principles look to be Pendle Forest, Loscar and Leading Man and the confident vote goes to Pendle Forest who was mightily impressive on her debut when defeating Diamond Sal. She is sure to have learned from the experience and with conditions in her favour she is taken to defy a penalty to score. Loscar is a well-bred French gelding from a top yard and is worth noting in the market, but he may just need this his first run. Leading Man was a fair fourth on his debut behind Classical Ben and is sure to come on for that run so has definite place claims. Captain Murphy is another to catch the eye as he has shown a modicum of ability, but Pendle Forest looked like one to follow on her debut and should take all the beating.
