Thornaby Green, Jordans Spark and Bijou Dan are the three to concentrate on and we will stick with Thornaby Green. The gelding put up a game effort in an apprentice handicap at Newcastle and as he obviously gets on well with Dean Heslop, the decision to keep him aboard against professionals looks to be a wise one. Hold up performer, Jordans Spark is acknowledged as modest but he won convincingly in a poor race over a mile. Time will tell whether 5lb was a harsh rise or not. Bijou Dan is a tricky ride but Duran Fentiman has fared better than most and he is aboard on a return to turf. Wooly Back has yet to win in 12 attempts and while his figures that he achieved with Reg Hollinshead were flattering, David Nolan will need to settle him early in order to have any chance here. Anthemion is plenty exposed while Diktatit should be fit from an abortive spell of hurdling. Thornaby Green looks the percentage pick and we shall stick with him in the finale.
