In depth

Verdict

Gala Casino Star has struggled at the weights since completing a hat-trick in the summer but Hillview Boy has gradually been dropping in the ratings and is no forlorn hope despite his weight. Amaze won a Ripon maiden over this trip and was staying on strongly over a mile at Haydock last time. He hasn't had much racing and has the scope to do better while Graham Lee has been on board for both of Another For Joe's victories. Watts Up Son has twice run well from this mark but could be a couple of pounds high while Act Your Shoe Size may just find this too far. QUEEN'S ESTATE won a handicap on heavy ground at Hamilton in July and his only poor subsequent run was in a higher grade at Goodwood. This looks his ground and trip and he looks set for his second career success.
