Verdict

Jobe and Aladdin's Lamp are the two to concentrate on here with Jatman and Quanah Parker in the next tier. The market will be interesting as their respective trainers saddled the winners of their respective maidens so will have a line on the form. Marginal preference is for Aladdin's Lamp as Jobe hung markedly on his debut over course and distance. Mark Johnston's runner is by Cape Cross so underfoot conditions should be of no concern and he should improve for his initial effort where he showed plenty of speed. Jobe's drift across the width of the track may just have been due to his inexperience and many will be prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt but it's possible that he may be a little quirky and we're prepared to pay to find out. However, if he keeps straight then he won't be far away as the form looks rock solid. Linda Stubbs houses some nice juveniles so Jatman is considered and Quanah Parker has ability but may not be as precocious as the two main protagonists. An interesting maiden which can see Aladdin's Lamp break his duck.
