In depth

Verdict

The subsequent form of the York maiden won by Bossy Guest with Gaudy in fourth has ben a bit hit-and-miss but there's no doubt Kevin Ryan's charge will have come on for the run and he'll take some beating. Big McIntosh, who cost 85,000gns as a yearling, attracted some support at Newmarket but never got involved. He should be capable of better and though Doc Charm was beaten nine lengths by The Wow Signal on his debut at this track the third has since come out and won at Goodwood. DISAVOW is a beautifully-bred daughter of Shamardal and a half-sister to six winners, including the high-class Cutlass Bay and Boscobel. If Mark Johnston has her tuned up for her debut she could be the one to beat though the hugely-expensive War Alert is one to keep an eye on in the betting, though she's also entered at Windsor this evening.
