Verdict

Thatlldoforme held on well when successful at Kelso earlier this month but has more to do under a 7lb penalty today and a better bet looks to be Kinburn, with Kempski rated the best of the rest. The selection is thrown in at the weights on current chase form and Howard Johnson's gelding is taken to make the most of the lenient mark that he carries. Something Silver showed improved form when successful here last time and is potentially well treated as he is set to go up 16lbs in future handicaps. That looks an over-reaction by the handicapper though and Jim Goldie's gelding may be best watched. The Nicky Richards-trained Gunadoir is open to improvement and could be of interest along with Kempski, who is consistent but may be in the grip of the handicapper now. That does not look to be the case with Kinburn though and he is taken to make the most of his current rating over hurdles.
