In depth

Verdict

Morgan Be showed progressive form over hurdles and looks to be doing the same over fences so is taken to follow up recent course success over Baron Monty (run in 2.30pm race), getting the vote over Strong Resolve and Lampion du Bost. The last mentioned is a consistent performer but is proving to be hard to win with so may be booked for a place at best. Skenfrith seems to be a shade high in the weights at present, while No Picnic is on a long losing sequence and is hard to recommend on recent evidence. Jurancon II is not as good as he once was and is easily discounted with a more likely winner looking to be Strong Resolve, who ran better at Haydock last time. Morgan Be looks to be going the right way though and he is preferred.
