Verdict

NORMAL EQUILIBRIUM concedes weight all round but he's a speedy operator who sets a decent standard. Far from disgraced in Listed grade behind Morawij at Sandown on his penultimate outing, he then failed to obtain a clear passage when still posting a respectable fourth place behind Dutch Masterpiece in a competitive Newmarket sprint handicap. He may have too much class for these rivals, of which possible improver Algar Lad rates the danger. The bottom weight, with just the three starts to date, looks well treated off a mark of 72 especially with Shirley Teasdale taking off a further 5lb. Storm Moon looks on a high enough mark but Shrimper Roo, a comfortable Doncaster scorer latest, could be a contender if handling the move down to the minimum trip.
