Verdict

Mark Johnston has won this a couple of times in the last eight years with a three-year-old representative so course and distance winner Love Marmalade looks to have a live chance. Hydrant dead-heated for first at Yarmouth last time to land a hat trick but a further 7lb rise may have scuppered his chances while Ryan Moore's presence on Take Two is notable but his mount has a bit to find in this company. Forgotten Hero will be more at home in today's lower grade but is hard to win with and HAYLAMAN is preferred. Dropped in class after a couple of outings over longer trips, David Simcock's charge can rediscover the winning trail in this.
