Verdict

NETTA is our call with Smart Endeavour and Highly Regal worthy of respect. Peter Makin's filly went into many notebooks having obliged in a Salisbury maiden. She probably found the going a little too soft on her handicap debut so we are prepared to forgive her what looks to be a bad run on paper. Smart Endeavour is finally beginning to get some respite from the handicapper after he hammered him with a mark of 85 after winning a Wolverhampton maiden. His recent run at Windsor seemed as if it would not be lost upon him. Highly Regal likes the hustle and bustle of big fields and with his stable already amongst the winners this week, it would be no surprise to see him go close. Wise Dennis would be a certainty on some of his older form though that is appearing an increasingly distant memory. Edgeworth should have few issues with the fast ground though Kieren Fallon's first task will be to get him settled at the earliest opportunity. Samarinda almost stole a race at Kempton under forcing tactics so expect to see the same again this afternoon. There could be quite a few future winners here and with fewer miles on the clock than most, Netta may well be open to more improvement than most.
