Verdict

Chiberta King was well beaten in the 2009 renewal and is readily opposed off a 7lb higher mark this time around as is Bay Willow, who can be forgiven a poor York effort but needs to show he can cope with this ground. Preference is for PROMPTER now he's tried in handicap company and stepped up to a mile and a half. Connections once hoped Michael Bell's son of Derby winner Motivator would follow in his father's footsteps by taking in the Epsom feature but things haven't quite gone to plan. That said, he showed last time that a gelding operation may well have helped him and if that's the case this mark of 102 could prove fair and we've no concerns about the ground. The Fonz had Life And Soul and Anhar behind him when winning at York and isn't ruled out although the last of that trio can close the gap while Magicalmysterytour will enjoy conditions and should go well.
