Marching Time is sure to be popular following his win at Goodwood, Seek N' Destroy won well at Newmarket and the penny now seems to have dropped for Without Prejudice but it may be worth giving another chance to CADRE at a bigger price. Marching Time held a big reputation at the start of the year when he was campaigned over ten furlongs but a drop in trip has worked the oracle for this Sadler's Wells colt who should be up to winning from his revised mark but he will need a little luck in running if he's held up again. Seek N' Destroy ran on well to win a decent race at Newmarket where he benefited from a change of tactics and his jockey should be able to decide which group he follows from his middle draw. Without Prejudice has been transformed by a visor and readily accounted for a fair field at York but he's on a 9lb higher mark in a stronger race so has a little to do. Redford is interesting as there's no doubt that he has the class to win this but he, too, has been frustrating. He was undone by the draw at Ayr but could go close if the headgear has the desired effect and wouldn't be winning out of turn. Giganticus is a regular in these contests and on a fair enough mark whilst a case can be made for Big Noise on the pick of his efforts. There are, of course, several more with live claims but it may be worth taking a chance on the lightly raced Cadre who was relatively short in the market for the Royal Hunt Cup. He disappointed on that occasion but hasn't been entirely disgraced in two subsequent outings and Cadre may benefit from the strong pace on his return to seven furlongs.
