In depth

Verdict

Flowerdrum can benefit from a break to complete a hat-trick, with Bravo Dancer, Tiber Tiger and Lilli Marlane candidates for the frame. Flowerdrum has thrived since being stepped up to a mile, winning both her starts this season, at Leicester and Pontefract. Described as still immature at the time, there is a lot more to come from the daughter of Mister Baileys. She beat Lilli Marlane off levels at Leicester and reopposes on better terms so should have the legs of that rival. Bravo Dancer was highly tried as a youngster, taking in the Chesham and the Listed Oh So Sharp Stakes, but has been a bit edgy this season. However, he behaved enough to chase home Arzoo at Musselburgh a fortnight ago and so there may be more to come. Tiber Tiger has a bit to find with Bravo Dancer on a line through Arzoo at Yarmouth, but was in good form in the summer and may be on the way back. Frankie Dettori rides Lucky Largo who has been hard to place, while Madamoiselle Jones is in the handicapper's grip. So, all in all, Flowerdrum is the percentage call to bounce back with a third straight win.
