Verdict

An uninspiring contest to close the day but, if QENAA reproduces the level of her penultimate run at Newmarket when caught late on in a competitive handicap, she will prove tough to beat. However, she failed to beat a rival home at Newbury last time and stakes should be kept to a minimum. Cono Zur has tried his heart out for the Ruth Carr yard in a busy season but is in good form at present and another solid front-running effort is anticipated. Islesman was probably a little unfortunate to be demoted by the stewards over this trip at Kempton last time and should give a good account for his progressive yard, whilst First Post is a consistent campaigner who could still do with some respite from the handicapper.
