In depth

Verdict

Martin Pipe has been placing Quick to good effect over the last few months but the gelding is now 11lb higher than his last run and he may struggle to shrug off the burden here. Therefore, a chance is taken with Bison King, who is an improving sort that looks ideally suited to the test of stamina he will face today. Out of the remainder: Gola Supreme and Lorgnette are quite closely matched on their Taunton form and either could easily make the frame if repeating the effort. While Parsons Legacy and Victory Gunner have a little to prove regarding their stamina for the trip and are opposable on the balance of form. However, Bison King's hurdles form is working out extremely well and he is given the chance to prove his victory at Huntingdon was not just a one-off performance. His subsequent efforts have left no reason to suggest it will be and this looks to be a good chance for Bison King to enhance his profile on only his second start in handicap company.
