Verdict

AEGEAN might be the answer here although she will face stiff opposition from a home team consisting of Falling Angel, Habaayib and Above Limits. With a winner on Tuesday, American trainer Wesley Ward will be confident of another big run from the hat-trick seeking Aegean. She beat Jealous Again at Churchill Downs in April (who runs in the Queen Mary on Wednesday) so it will be interesting to see whether she franks the form then, but this progressive filly should run well assuming there isn't a deluge of rain. Falling Angel was given a poor ride last time at York and but for Richard Kingscote easing up late on she would have won; Ryan Moore takes over in the saddle and she should handle this step up in class. Kurtanella represents Richard Hannon who is a master trainer of two-year-olds; this Pastoral Pursuits filly won well at Newbury but the time wasn't amazing and she has a bit to prove now upped in trip although her trainer thinks that she'll revel in it. Sweet Sonnet, Chachamaidee and She's A Character all come here defending unbeaten records after one start apiece but something has to give and the best of the trio could be Chachamaidee who did plenty wrong on her Lingfield bow but won nicely in the end and has lots more to give. Curtains, Flyinflyout and Kate Skate seem to have improved with each start to date, however a bigger threat could be the Ballydoyle challenger Lillie Langtry. She is already a Group Three winner following a comfortable success at Naas however her trainer doesn't have a great record in this race. Along with the improving Habaayib however she must be considered a big threat. Hard to rule out any in the line-up as is normally the case but we will side with the possibly underestimated Aegean to 'sea' off her rivals.
