Verdict

Top Notch Tonto ran the race of his life in this last year when runner-up to Olympic Glory. He finished just ahead of Kingsbarns but both appear to be facing a stiffer task this time around, though the pair will handle underfoot conditions better than most. It was soft ground when Integral won the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket in July and she'll be a threat to all while Custom Cut goes from strength-to-strength and deserves a crack at a Group 1. He was always holding Captain Cat at Newmarket last time, when Tullius was fourth, and beat Brendan Bracken at Leopardstown in August and Graphic at York in the same month. CHARM SPIRIT's only defeat so far this season came behind Night Of Thunder in the 2,000 Guineas but he reversed that form in the Prix du Moulin at Longchamp last month and is still improving. Freddy Head's colt can grab another big-race victory here.
