Verdict

RADHARCNAFARRAIGE can follow her stablemate Cuis Ghaire in landing this contest for Jim Bolger, with Margot Did and Memory taken to lead home the rest. Our selection has followed the same path as Cuis Ghaire in arriving here on the back of a win in the Group Three Coolmore Stud Fillies' Stakes at Naas. She idled in front that day but still had three lengths in hand at the line with a further couple back to Juliet Capulet, who needs to find a world of improvement for the first-time visor to trouble our pick. That was on good to firm but she'll be fine if it's slightly easier and this speedily bred type is taken to give her trainer further success here. Margot Did impressed when winning on her debut at Newbury and the form looks strong as the second and fourth horses scored next time. She followed that up with a facile Yarmouth novice victory and again the form has worked out and there's no telling how good she could be; Michael Bell has tasted success with juveniles here and could well do so again. Anything Richard Hannon sends out has to be respected and the performance of Memory at Goodwood screamed Royal Ascot. In contrast to the aforementioned pair the subsequent efforts of those in behind haven't advertised the strength of the form but Memory bounded clear late on once she understood her job and there can surely only be more to come, though any sign of 'firm' in the going description would be off-putting as she'll be suited by genuine good ground. On a line through the fourth horse she's nothing in hand of Hooray but our feeling is Memory will prove the better filly at this stage, despite Sir Mark Prescott's horse impressing at Kempton; she may already be better served by another furlong. Primo Lady won a Listed contest at York last time but that was over five and she looks all speed. Similarly Tiz My Time is a quick American filly who might've been seen in a better light over the minimum trip; she's a maiden too and this is no easy race to be getting off the mark. Connections of Wave Of Applause suggested after her maiden win that six furlongs was on the sharp side for her so she may be taken off her feet as may Al Sharood although the latter is on the up and could take home some prize money if able to lay up early on. The 2010 renewal of the Albany Stakes is a superb one and Radharcnafarraige gets the vote to land it.
