Verdict

Richard Fahey rates Glen's Diamond his best chance of a winner at this year's Royal meeting and he has solid credentials, winning for the fourth time in as many starts when quickening clear of Maqaraat in the Dee Stakes at Chester last month. He may still be improving but this is his stiffest task to date with Alexander Pope having stayed on well to land a Group 3 over 1m2f at the Curragh last time. Nathaniel ran subsequent Epsom Derby runner-up Treasure Beach to a head in the Chester Vase, however, and that looks the best form on offer here but we fancy WORLD DOMINATION to put a poor run in the Dante behind him and take this. Sir Henry Cecil's colt had suffered an interrupted preparation prior to his run at York and also still looked a little green. He'd created a very favourable impression when finishing ahead of four subsequent winners, including Fiorente, on his debut at Newbury and shouldn't be written off just yet. Dordogne beat Hurricane Higgins in the Lingfield Derby Trial but had earlier finished a long way behind last month's Longchamp third Genius Beast at Sandown and Mahmood Al Zarooni's colt looks the pick of the remainder in this.
