Verdict

Another puzzle for punters to unravel with most of the runners stepping up to this trip for the first time. They include Census, who looked very impressive in landing a 1m3f Newbury handicap though the handicapper also thought so and raised him 10lb. Both Eternal Heart and SUD PACIFIQUE were conceding 6lb to Mica Mika when beating Richard Fahey's charge in their respective most recent races and there is little between the trio at the weights. However, the second-named has been looking very progressive in his races this season and he should be ideally suited by the longer trip. Apache represents Ballydoyle and could hardly have had a better preparation than landing a Leopardstown maiden over this trip by almost six lengths. He's still in the Irish Derby and the King George so connections obviously think highly of him. Purification made all for a very impressive victory over Communicator at Windsor and could be anything.
