In depth

Verdict

A Vos Gardes was all out to win a four-runner race at Bangor in the autumn and will need more here but the unbeaten Devenish Island hasn't made the trip down from Northumberland for the good of his health and will make a bold bid to defy a double penalty. Ex-pointers Golden Milan and The Wexfordian are worth monitoring for market support while No Dice is out of a mare that won a couple of times over hurdles and will have his supporters. ROYAL VACATION is by leading NH sire Kings Theatre and a half-brother to two winners including the useful Ahyaknowyerself. It would be no surprise were he good enough to make a winning debut.
