In depth

Verdict

Heaven Sent has the class to come out on top at the expense of Jewaar, McNairobi and Rakata to name but a few. Sir Michael Stoute does very well with his older fillies, and on the strength of a cracking comeback run at Newbury three weeks ago, Heaven Sent is taken to prevail. Her third behind Pinpoint in the Spring Cup has already been made to look good by the subsequent effort in defeat of the winner at Newmarket next time, and this Group 3-entered filly does not appear at all badly treated. In addition she has a fitness edge over quite a few of her rivals today, including Jewaar who has the potential, but has yet to prove herself at this level. McNairobi lines up fit after a comeback success at Lingfield, but is another with more to do, while Rakata has not shown the same zip as last term in two outings this year. Persian Express hails from a stable in form, but has to concede weight to the selection Heaven Sent who can pay to follow.
