Verdict

Nargys clearly appreciated the give in the ground when scooting away from her rivals, including second Switcher, in a Group 3 at Doncaster last month. She ran well at the royal meeting here in June but connections will have been praying for rain and she now has a penalty to overcome. Enrol only found Tawhid too good in this grade at Newbury last month and has to come into the reckoning but it would be no surprise to see WINTER'S NIGHT go close. She has a good record here, winning twice over course and distance as a three-year-old, and has made the frame in four of her five previous runs at this level. Tantshi beat Ghanaian by a neck at Salisbury last time and is worth a try in this grade but she was beaten a length-and-a-quarter by Indignant when receiving weight at Newmarket in July so the latter is probably a bigger danger.
