Verdict

It remains to be seen how Born To Surprise copes with sprinting after scoring over 7f at Doncaster last month. The proven 6f winners make more appeal and AMADEUS WOLFE TONE could prove best of those. He can be forgiven a poor run in heavy ground last time but has strong claims on his defeat of subsequent winner Misplaced Fortune at Doncaster earlier. Duke Of Firenze is another to consider on his nose defeat at Newmarket in July while Gabriel's Lad can also figure on the back of a couple of recent placed efforts in this grade. Frankie gets the leg up on Ffos Las winner Khubala and Poole Harbour has a shout on his best form.
