Masarah is the highest rated of these after her run behind Certify in the Group 1 Fillies Mile at Newmarket though she didn't impress on her reappearance on Polytrack at Lingfield. Pearl Sea finished closer to Certify at Newmarket earlier but ran poorly when fancied in a Listed contest there in November. CHAT landed a Haydock maiden in June that didn't work out particularly well but her pedigree suggests she'll do much better in her second season and an entry in the Coronation Stakes suggests she's well thought of. She'll need to have improved over the winter but is handed the vote over the more exposed pair Cruck Realta, twice a winner but whose best run came when runner-up in a Listed contest on this track, and Irish challenger Typhoon Lily, who makes her debut on Turf having had all three starts at Dundalk.
Cruck Realta 14-1 (8-10) Tracked leaders, pressed leader over 2f out, led and edged left entering final 2f, ridden and headed entering final furlong, kept on, 2nd of 5, 1 1/4l behind Contributer (8-13) at Newbury 1m 2f 3yo stk (3) gs in Apr.
Chat (USA) 15-8fav (9-0) Raced near stands rail, in touch, good headway over 3f out, chased leaders halfway, shaken up to lead 1f out, stayed on well inside final furlong to win going away, won at Haydock 6f 2yo stks (5) gs in Jun beating Strictly Silca (9-0) by 2l, 10 ran.
Masarah (IRE) 20-1 (8-9) Held up, effort over 1f out, no impression inside final furlong, 5th of 9, 4 1/2l behind Van Der Neer (9-0) at Lingfield 1m Listed Stakes (3yo) (1) pol in Apr.
Pearl Sea (IRE) 4-1fav (8-12) Led stands' side group until ridden over 1f out, weakened final furlong, 13th of 16, 13l behind Melbourne Memories (8-12) at Newmarket 6f 2yo fll Listed stks (1) sft in Nov.
Typhoon Lily (USA) 10-1 (9-1) Held up in 5th, headway in 4th 1 1/2f out, ridden into 3rd 1f out, 2nd inside final furlong and kept on to press winner close home, 2nd of 6, 3/4l behind Precious Stone (10-0) at Dundalk 1m fll stk pol in Apr.
