In depth

Verdict

This looks wide-open as are a number of these look nicely treated if returning to form. CARLITO BRIGANTE has his first start for Karen McLintock but could benefit from a change of scenery. He'll handle conditions better than most so we'll take the top weight to come out on top as there is only 10lb between the seven-year-old and recent Hexham winner Rossini's Dancer. Saved By John hasn't raced since falling at Cheltenham in March but went close on his reappearance last season and sees out this trip better than Falcon Island. Gansey will need some help from the handicapper but Kruzhlinin still has time on his side and Howard's Legacy is better than he showed in the spring.
