Verdict

GABRIAL THE GREAT was no match for Betfair Hurdle winner Splash Of Ginge over this track and trip on his hurdling debut but had a couple of decent novices well behind and should go one better here under McCoy. Satanic Beat has a penalty to carry for his victory in a handicap at Newcastle in March and that may prove his undoing while Less Time shapes as though he needs further. Deadly Sting is eased in grade but might also find this too short along with the mare Grape Tree Flame.
