In depth

Formwatch

Hit And Run (FR) Bold front runner with loads of ability is burdened with plenty of weight and may find that beyond him.

The French Furze (IRE) Probably needed the run last time and is a smart handicapper who could well go close today with the race run to suit him.

Rooster Booster Placed in all the top two mile handicap hurdles this term and wouldn't be winning out of turn; leading chance today.

Milligan (FR) Handles the ground and is in pretty good form and is closely matched with the French Furze and Roster Booster; likely to be thereabouts in a wide open race.

Copeland decent sort but wouldn't be totally at home on this testing ground and may struggle today.

Danegold (IRE) Rarely wins, but this race could be run to suit his late on the scene style of racing; sound each-way prospects.

Fondmort (FR) Ex-French racer has done well since joining Nicky Henderson; however, faces a stiff task upped in class and may be out of his depth.

St Pirran (IRE) Ultra consistent leading novice hurdler looks sure to go well although his form has taken a few knocks of late; likely to command plenty of market support.

Deep Water (USA) Looks to have plenty of weight for his achievements so far and others make more appeal today.

Ibal (FR) Loves the heavy ground and ran out an impressive winner in good company last time; upped in the weights but still capable of going close again -should prove hard to beat.

Minivet Has looked badly out of sorts this term and would be a major surprise if he's good enough to figure in this company.

Lawahik Not without a chance but looks to be facing a tough task on balance of form and others are preferred.

Ferrers Quite well handicapped at the moment and if up to the form of his Cheltenham win earlier in the turn could spring a surprise.

Docklands Limo Best on fast going and may well be all at sea on this muddy terrain; hard to enthuse over.

Super Nomad Won here over further in November and his stamina will come into play here today; sound each-way prospects.

Supreme Fortune (IRE) Stable not in the best of form at the moment and he's gone up the weights for a recent victory and could find this all happening a bit too quick today; stiff task.

Batswing Loves the ground, stable are in great from and ignore his mishap last time; previously showed himself to be in good shape and appeals as a likely winner today.

Kassala (FR) Ex-French racer who will be better for this experience and is hard to fancy.

Boro Sovereign (IRE) Goes well on this ground and is fairly unexposed; can't be ruled out and should have more behind than in front.

Golden Goal (GER) Due to run in closing event yesterday; has some fair form to his name in varied company but looks to be running for a place at very best.

Cardiff Arms (NZ) Won a moderate race at Fakenham last time and this is much tougher; hard to see him getting into the argument.

Sayeh (IRE) Fast ground performer absent for 18 months and it would be an amazing feat for him to score today.
