Daragh Bourke has been a 'great help' to Stuart Coltherd
Doubledisdoubledat took Stuart Coltherd’s best seasonal score onto 17 as he made all in the Timeform Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase at Kelso on Tuesday.
The Selkirk handler, who has also had two Flat winner and one between the flags this term, is way ahead of his previous highest tally of eight which was set back in 2011-12.
Doubledisdoubledat was a game three-quarter of a length winner under James Reveley to make it two from two over fences and Coltherd said: “When we got him from Ireland they told me he was a relentless galloper on soft ground so he did well today.
"That’s him for the season now and he is a quality horse to look forward to and he will stay further.
“It’s been tremendous season and having a jockey like Daragh Bourke in the yard has been a great help. We also brought the horses back in a lot earlier and it’s all thanks to a good team effort all round.”
