Zurigha and Ryan Moore are clear to win the Snowdrop Stakes
Fourth in the French 1000 Guineas last season, the Richard Hannon-trained filly was wisely guided to victory by Ryan Moore from off a languid pace.
Zurigha was never too far off the speed as Senafe took the field along at a lackadaisical gallop, but Moore went for the jugular just before the one-furlong pole.
Ribbons was moored towards the rear of the hunting pack for most of the one-mile journey and came with a surging late dash to take second spot, beaten a length and a quarter.
Hannon said: "I have worked her here recently and she's shown she's going the right way. That's her second Listed win and I think she'll win a Group race, although we might have to go abroad to get that."
Trainer James Fanshawe said Ribbons would need to win a race between now and Royal Ascot to go for the Windsor Forest Stakes
