Glens Melody (right): Repeated the form with Mischievous Milly (left)
Glens Melody repeated her verdict over old foe Mischievous Milly to take the OLBG.com Mares' Hurdle at Warwick.
From the home turn, the pair of them had the race to themselves having seen off the remaining pair of rivals.
A mistake at the second-last flight where the evens favourite slipped on landing saw Mischievous Milly briefly handed the initiative, but Glens Melody picked up again on the run to the last and edged back past to repeat the result the last time the pair met on this track four weeks ago, scoring by half a length.
The winner was trimmed to 14/1 from 16/1 by Sky Bet for the OLBG David Nicholson at the Cheltenham Festival, but she is expected to need soft ground to make the line-up.
"She did disappoint on good ground at Cheltenham, but should the ground came up soft, she could well make the frame," said spokesman Michael Shinners.
