Last Sovereign: Landed the final race
Last Sovereign (9/1) made it two wins from as many starts by landing the Frontline Bathrooms Handicap as winning form proved vital.
The top weight landed a Ripon claimer in convicing fashion when last seen and stepped back into handicap company successfully under Jacob Butterfield.
Doctor Parkes (9/2), carrying a 6lb penalty for winning at Sandown, was keen early on under Neil Callan but saw his race out well for second ahead of Avon Breeze (7/2 favourite), another last time out winner who this time finished third having raced alone on the far side throughout the final furlong.
Rebecca Romero moved nicely into contention but couldn't quite reach the frame in fourth having been held up off the pace, which had been set by Fratellino and Bosun Breeze. As with those in front of her, Rebecca Romero had also won her previous start.
