Henderson: Fan of Forgotten Voice
Former Royal Hunt Cup hero Forgotten Voice bounced back to form at Kempton as he sprinted clear from Brick Red to take the Grade Two Dovecote Novices' Hurdle.
The winner of his first two starts over timber, the Nicky Henderson-trained winner had got stuck in the mud on his most recent outing, but looked much happier on the good going.
Brick Red just held off Lac Fontana for second, but the pair were five lengths adrift of the winner.
"As you would expected having won the Hunt Cup on the Flat, he's got plenty of speed, but he jumps so well and he's a lovely horse with scope, Henderson said.
"He's gradually getting the hang of learning to settle now. He's come to jumping a bit late but he's a lovely, classy horse who would jump a fence if you wanted to - but I don't as the owner won't let me."
