Dvinsky: Finished fourth at Kempton
Dvinsky was unable to win a race in which he created a small piece of history in at Kempton on Wednesday.
Paul Howling's 11-year-old was joining Sharp Hat in becoming the joint-busiest British racehorse ever in the Betdaq Dvinsky Record-Equalling 217th Run Handicap but the 9-1 shot could finish only a close fourth under Tom McLaughlin.
David Evans' Zing Wing (6-1) stole the veteran's thunder in beating Sunshine Always by a neck.
It was the 26th time Dvinsky had been ridden by McLaughlin in what was his 76th race at Kempton, a venue which had provided 10 of his 19 career wins.
He was in the firing line from the off and still in front rank with three of the seven furlongs remaining but was soon in trouble from there and had to stay on with determination to keep a decent finishing position.
