Moonstone Magic: Irish Guineas an option after impressive Newbury win
Moonstone Magic was an impressive winner of the Dubai Duty Free Stakes (Registered As The Fred Darling Stakes) at Newbury, maintaining her unbeaten record in the process.
Ralph Beckett's charge was a wide-margin winner of a Leicester maiden on her racecourse debut earlier this month and tracked the strong-travelling Radio Gaga (10-1) here.
Jim Crowley took the 7-2 winner to the front inside the distance and she went clear for a three-and-three-quarter lengths success.
It was a further nine lengths back to Electrelane (10-1) in third with Best Terms fading into fifth having raced prominently to the two furlong pole.
"She was too big to run last year and her dam (Woodcock Moon) had such bad knees I never even ran her," said Beckett.
"She needs some give in the ground. She's not in anything but she'll have to run in a Guineas - maybe the Irish will be most suitable."
