Mikel Delzangles: Now trains Dragon Pulse
Dragon Pulse inflicted a first career defeat on Dabirsim in the Prix De Fontainebleau at Longchamp on Sunday.
The runner-up was sent-off a warm favourite for his reappearance but was very keen through the early stages under Christophe Soumillon.
Despite the early problems the jockey was looking around for dangers as he cruised past the front-running Sofast a furlong out but in behind Gregory Benoist was galvanising the winner, who was trained by Jessica Harrington in Ireland last year.
The son of Kyllachy produced a storming finish to cut down Dabirsim, on whom Soumillon was now in full flight, in the final strides.
Sky Bet cut the winner to 12s from 25s for the QIPCO 2000 Guineas, a race his trainer Mikel Delzangles won with Makfi. Boylesports are 14s from 20s.
